Financial translation lecture

Rarely can you see a person who can make you feel that you are able to comprehend something that you have always found difficult. And when the person is a teacher or a lecturer, you are really lucky. We had some translation classes at the university. We were not trained to become translators, but some additional lessons were offered to us. However, they were all general classes and we didn"t focus on anything in particular. We touched some subjects such as medicine, law or finances, but just after a couple of classes he teacher proceeded to the next topic so we never had a chance to deepen our knowledge. But one day, a well-known specialist on Financial translation visited the university. We were all invited to take part in a lecture on the basics of the subject. I must say that I was reluctant to go; among all the subjects that we barely touched during our classes, financial translation was the least fascinating for me. But I finally decided to attend, just as most of my friends did. And none of us regretted that. The man explained some of the terms and some of the methods in such an easy way that we could comprehend it without difficultly. I guess it was his sense of humour that made the whole thing interesting. It was sheer pleasure to listen to him!
